An Exploration of Selected Works by Jared K. Nickerson from Mograph TV on Vimeo.
Hello Everyone!
I am very excited to share this with you. Jared and I teamed up to bring you some amazing vector graphic design inspiration.
Jared is a 27-year-old freelance illustrator. He was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After a number of moves throughout Canada and the US he is now located in Seattle, Washington. With well over six years in the industry, Jared runs his own design studio, J3Concepts.
Jared has had several major clients over the years, just to name a few: Adidas Originals, Nike, MTV, Microsoft, Nintendo, Suicide Girls… the list goes on
.
He’s a really amazing vector artist and if you feel like trying out a different style, vector may be an angle you’ll enjoy.

Oh nice! It’s good to see a video interview with Jthree finally.
Nice to see his artworks throughout. He makes some very good points.
Good to meet the man behind the artwork.
Jared really is a great illustrator! You can see his influences in his work which is a great combination of pop/street art. I’ll need to watch the interview when I have a bit more time.
Great interview Ryan, allowed us to get some great insight into Jareds work.
I’ve got a question for you Jared, do you sketch alot? during the interview you mentioned to create some of your vector elements you trace or gather reference, and some is from the top of your head. Do you find yourself sketching and scanning? or is the first pen you hold made by wacom?
Chris,
I actually don’t “sketch” anymore, any roughs I do now are digital, kind of got rid of that whole extra process over the years. I do though find that sometimes things get lost in the translation.
I do though design with a mouse 99% of the time. The tablet is only used for a very specific hand drawn effect in my case.
Hope that answered your question
I’m happy you enjoyed it guys
thanks for the feedback!
Love these works. Quite impressive these are all mouse drawings. I’d expected a wacom or something like it.
Nice post!
